The new Integrated Resort Casino at Hellinikon to be operational by 2026

Τhe Integrated Resort Casino in Elliniko will be put into operation in 2026 by the Mohegan-GEK TERNA scheme. From the Delphi Economic Forum, Ray Pineault, CEO of the American company, announced that the negotiations are in the final phase and are taking place with both the Greek State and Lamda.

The construction part of the project is estimated at 36 months and its cost reaches the amount of 1.1 billion euros, making it the largest project of its kind in Europe. Of the amount, 950 million euros relate to the construction (civil engineering and E / M projects) and the other 150 million euros relate to the permit according to the offer of the scheme in the relevant tender of EEEP.

A great investment

As mentioned by Mr. Pineault, the development of the casino will bring financial benefits to Greece both from the tourist flows and from Mohegan customers who develop projects from Las Vegas to South Korea and now in Greece.

It is to be reminded that the contract for the casino is in Elliniko and then its ratification by the Parliament will follow. At the same time, the contract between the company and Lamda as the owner of the space is running.

It is noted that the investment by Inspire Athens includes, in addition to the casino, the creation of a 5-star hotel in an area of ​​120,000 sq.m. with 3,500 beds, conference and exhibition center 24,000 sq.m., sports-concert arena for 10,000 spectators, etc.

The design of the building is a creation of the international architectural firm Steelman Partners, which specializes in the design and construction of IRC complexes. The complex will include facilities made with the latest technology, and a multi-purpose indoor event space, with the aim of organizing large music concerts, sporting events, as well as other high quality artistic and cultural activities on a weekly basis.
