Attiko Metro informed earlier today the two consortia claiming the 1.8-billion-euro project for the construction of Athens Metro Line 4, that the technical evaluation report has been now approved.
Ypodomes.com contacted Attiko Metro CEO, Mr. Theodoros Papadopoulos, who confirmed approval. The next, crucial step will be the unsealing of the financial bids that will ultimately decide which J/V will be awarded the largest Metro project of all time in the country.
The date for the opening of the financial offers is expected to be announced after a short period, during which the contenders reserve the right to file objections and -hopefully- the verdict regarding the appeal of Mytilineos, that has been disqualified from an earlier stage of the ongoing tender, will also come out.
The schemes that claim the big contract are:
1. AKTOR-ANSALDOBREDA-HITACHI and
2. AVAX-GHELLA-ALSTOM.
The large-scale tender for the “orange” line 4 of Athens Metro, had started on August 10, 2017 with the expression of interest and initially 4 big consortia. In the process, 2 of them, Mytilineos (due to objection by another consortium) and TERNA (which withdrew its participation from the process) didn’t proceed to next phase.
