The first major step has been taken in two tenders aiming to solve the long-standing problem of sewage management in Eastern Attica region. According to information from EYDAP (i.e. Attica’s water and sewage public company), bids were submitted as planned last Monday for both tenders with a total cost of 165m euros.

According to the same sources in the tender the following 6 companies participated:

1.3K TECHNIKI, 2. INTRAKAT, 3. AVAX, 4. J/V THEMELI-CH. KONSTANTINIDIS-ERGO, 5. J/V TERNA-ERTEKA and 6. AKTOR.

The first project concerns the construction of sewage networks and pipelines in the areas of Rafina-Pikermi and Spata, with a budget of 79m  euros (VAT incl, 63.7m euros excl. VAT).

In the second tender, 6 bids were also submitted by the same contenders:

1. 3K TECHNICAL, 2. INTRAKAT, 3. AVAX, 4. J/V THEMELI-CH.KONSTANTINIDIS-ERGO, 5. J/V TERNA-ERTEKA and 6. AKTOR.

This project concerns the construction of sewage networks and pipelines in the Municipality of Spata with a budget of 86.8m euros (VAT incl., 70m euros excl. VAT). The original auction date was February 21st and the opening of the bids was scheduled for the 27th of the same month, however the process was postponed for March 16th 2020 and March 23rd (i.e. next Monday0 respectively.

With these two big projects that are set to begin this year and be completed by the end of 2023, it is estimated that more than 10,000 buildings will be connected to the network.

The projects are co-financed by the Cohesion Fund (CF) under the O.P. YMEPERAA 2014-2020.
