Tenders for public projects have been now halted, as a result of the recent Legislative Act, regarding urgent measures in order to address the consequences of the coronavirus spread.

In detail, as stated in Article 60 concerning public procurement matters:

As long as there is an immediate risk of occurrence and spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the absence of which is confirmed by a decision of the Minister of Health, and nonetheless for a period that may not exceed 6 months from the date of entry into force, by decision of the relevant Minister or body, it is possible:

(a) The postponement of public tenders;

(b) The extension of the date for submission of tenders;

(c) The suspension of any time-limit relating to public contracts, regardless of the stage of the awarding or execution process and

(d) The extension of any contractual time-limit
