The Ellinikon: building permit for Riviera Tower residential skyscraper issued – Works to commence shortly

Lamda Development announces that the Riviera Tower building permit has been issued, marking the start of construction work on the iconic Tower on the Hellinikon Coastal Front.

The building permit of the highest building in Greece (200 meters) was a particularly complex process, as it required a large number of special approvals (such as from the Civil Aviation Authority, the Central Council of Architecture, the Fire Brigade Headquarters, etc.) and required more than 1,900 designs. The Ministry of Environment and Energy and the General Secretariat for Spatial Planning and Urban Environment, the Ministry of Development, the Greek Office, the Directorate of Architecture, Building Regulations and Licensing (DAOKA), KESA, the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Ministry of Climate participated in this process Crisis and Civil Protection with the Fire Brigade Headquarters, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and the General Secretariat of Infrastructure, the Civil Aviation Service and DEDDIE.

The Architectural design has been done by the international architectural office of “Foster+Partners” in collaboration with the “Study Office of Alexandrou N. Tombazi SA”.

Accordingly, the Static and E/M studies have been prepared by Buro Happold based in London, with the assistance of local partners, “DETA CONSULTING ENGINEERS” for the statics and “TEKEM S.A.” for electromechanical. The design of the surrounding area has been prepared by the company “DOXIADIS PLUS”.

Another important step towards the rapid completion of the first phase of Elliniko has been completed.”
