Preparations for the launch of the capital’s mega project in Elliniko are proceeding. The most recent development was the licensing of the new Casino by the relevant Committee, published last Thursday.
Interested parties are invited to submit their comments by September, 10. After that, the tender notice will come out, through which the investor for the new facilities will emerge. It is worth mentioning that the Casino will be one of the skyscrapers of the investment with a maximum height of 200 meters, functioning as one of the area’s landmarks, very close to Aghios Kosmas Marina.
The total investment for the development of the new Metropolitan Pole in the capital’s Southern Suburbs is estimated to amount to 8bn euros, over a period of 20 years, promising to create 10,000 jobs at the early stages of the construction phase -and 75,000 permanent jobs during its operation phase- while it is expected to “ressurect” the private construnctions sector, contribute to GDP growth and attract an additional 1mln tourists every year for Athens.
