Archikon and Mytilineos to join forces for Thriassion Logistics Park

Signatures for the concession agreement regarding the country’s first Logistics Park in Thriassion Plain Western Attica) will be be completed in the following days. One of the most important steps towards this deal was taken with the signatures between the construction company and the contractor ETVA VIPE – Goldair consortium. According to well-informed sources of ypodomes.com, a great cooperation is about to be established.

More particularly, ARCHIKON seems that will not be alone in the project but will join forces with MYTILINEOS, that will essentially be the leader of the construction. ARCHIKON is one of the most experienced companies in logistics construction as it has previously undertaken private projects both in Attica for a large supermarket chain and abroad in Bucharest and Belgrade. This cooperation was deemed necessary to ensure the completion of the construction projects within the scheduled deadline.

According to the same information, the project scope over a decade is going to reach 130mln euros for infrastructure construction (sewerage networks, internal road network, parking areas, etc.) and the building constructions (warehouses, administration buildings). The scope also includes the construction of a double-track railway line linking Thriassion Logistics Park with the already completed railway network in the adjacent property.

Regarding the construction schedule, as ypodomes.com was informed, during the first 2 years (T1 period), works worth 70mln euros, covering an area of 143 acres of land and warehouses of 120,000 sq.m. In T2 period, which concerns the next 8 years, the remaining 120,000 square meters will be built with a budget of 60mln euros. Of course, if there is a demand from companies that want to rent space, construction could be completed in a shorter time.

This is the most important building infrastructure project in Attica that will give a significant boost to the technical sector. During the construction phase, hundreds of people are expected to work, while during the operation phase 3,000 jobs will be created. Upon the initiation of the construction period, a one-off payment of 10mln euros will be completed towards GAIAOSE.
