The reconstruction of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in the place of the former Marriott building in 115 Syngrou Ave. is now completed. According to ypodomes.com, AKTOR, who was the contractor of the project, delivered the renovated building on July 31, 2018, successfully meeting the demanding deadlines.

The reconstruction of the building was a major challenge as large-scale modifications had to be made to the existing building, which is located in an urban area and at a record time, given that the relevant contract was signed last February.

The building’s owners are Daskalandonakis family who, along with Hines, obtained the keys of the historic hotel of Syngrou Ave. in June 2017.

Grand Hyatt is a 5-star hotel, with a capacity of 320 rooms and is addressed to high-income customers, enriching the list of Athens new and luxurious hotels.

Undoubtedly, the addition of such hotels has improved the touristic image of the city significantly, especially in a record-breaking year, which is expected to fuel even more investments in new hotel units in the years to come, thus helping the country’s economy as well.
