With a global giant, AECOM, the largest Greek independent engineering company, SALFO as well as Samaras and Assocciates, Thessaloniki Port Authority announced that will run the upcoming projects of its investment program.
This means that the joint venture for the supervision and evaluation of the investments in the port of Thessaloniki comprises-after the completion of the tendering procedure- the companies SALFO & ASSOCIATES S.A., AECOM LIMITED – SAMARAS & ASSOCIATES S.A .
As stated in the announcement “The tender for the award of independent engineering services has been completed, regarding the supervision and evaluation of the mandatory investments, amounting to 180mln euros that will be implemented in the Port of Thessaloniki in the next 7 years, under the concession contract.
It is noted that during the tendering procedure, conducted by ThPA SA, 4 offers were submitted:
– HILL INTERNATIONAL N.V. – MARNET S.A.
– INROS LACKNER SE
– SALFO & ASSOCIATES S.A. – AECOM LIMITED – SAMARAS & ASSOCIATES S.A.
– EPTISA SERVICIOS DE INGENIERIA S.L. – TRITON CONSULTING ENGINEERS LTD. – MOTT MACDONALD LIMITED.
It is reminded that the most important investment is the expansion of the 6th Pier that will double of the traffic and storage capacity in Thessaloniki Port. At the same time, both Egnatia Motorway and ERGOSE are working on the establishment of road and rail connection of the Pier with the motorway and railway network respectively.
